Replace plastic wrap with these air tight, attractive bowl covers. Simply machine wash and pop them in the dryer to re-use for years to come. This specialty fabric is water and odor resistant and will keep your foods fresh for days. The elastic band holds tight and allows coverage for bowls 5-10” inches in diameter.
This pack of three includes:
1- small cover (covers containers approximately 5”-8”)
1- medium cover (covers containers approximately 6”-8.5”)
1- large cover (covers containers approximately 7.5”-10”)
Our fabrics:
The fabric does not contain lead or heavy metals, BPA, phthalates, PVCs, diisocynates, chlorine or migratable plasticizers. The fabric also does not contain latex, and is vegan. It is made with a special type of film that is going to keep your food as fresh as if it were stored under a lid or under plastic wrap. This film is food safe and is designed for repeated use in packaging, processing, transporting or holding food. In fact, it's so safe, it is even approved for holding potable water! Note: the fabric is safest and recommended for primarily room temperature or refrigerated use (although it won't melt or de-laminate if microwaved). 73% polyester 27% polyurethane.
The most important characteristic of this type of fabric is that it forms a waterproof barrier, while still being breathable. In this context, breathable does not mean that you can hold the fabric over your face and breathe through it. It means that the fabric releases heat and water vapor which is perfect for food storage. The unprinted side of the fabric has minuscule "pores" which allow for optimal vapor transmission. This fabric is also slightly stretchy to guarantee a tight fit. This fabric has a soft hand, making it quiet - never stiff or crackly like the bowl covers of old. The bowl cover fabric is washable in hot water in commercial or home laundry. The permanent dyes resist fading in the sun and even allow for bleaching of the fabric as well. It resists abrasion and is anti-microbial.
